How would you describe your style?

I tend to navigate towards very neutral tones and classic, timeless designs like linen and denim. Mostly soft, coastal vibes but I also love a structured blazer with some cool prints and boots.

What inspires your personal style?

Confidence and more times than not, comfort! What is going to make me feel like I can take on the world and feel the best doing it. I love to take inspiration from icons like Princess Diana and Hailey Bieber but add an effortless Rani spin on it. I wish I was more creative when it came to fashion but I really enjoy seeing what’s trending and putting something together that reflects who I am.

What do you look for most when adding a new addition to your wardrobe?

I will always ask myself whether it can be worn different ways and with a range of different things, I’m definitely not a one wear one time type of girl. I love to have versatile pieces that can be casual or dressed up, that are good quality and are timeless - effortless and that I know will always look good on me.

What’s your favourite piece in your wardrobe?

My Dad’s levis denim jacket that he gave to me a few years ago. It is so cool, goes with everything and elevates any outfit! I also love it because it’s my Dad’s and it transcends multiple lifetimes! I literally wore it yesterday.

When did you first realise you wanted to get into modelling?

For as long as I can remember I have just loved dressing up, taking photos and being in front of the camera. My fondest memories of my childhood are of my sister and I clunking around in those plastic heels with wigs and the coolest outfits our parents bought for us. I’ve always wanted to be a part of the fashion industry, and despite it only changing to become more inclusive in recent years I’ve always made it my own. I wasn’t waiting for anyone to tell me I was good enough or to accept me in, it was always how I expressed myself and to be signed with an agency a few years ago was truly the icing on the cake. Now I create my own reality and work really hard to not only chase my dreams but be the representation a lot of women need in our media – I want to be the person I never saw and inspire other people to just be who they are.

Do you have any advice for other girls wanting to pursue a career in modelling?

JUST BE YOURSELF AND DO NOT CHANGE FOR ANYONE. You are more than good enough just as you are. You have to believe in yourself before you can expect anyone else to. What makes you YOU is what makes you unique, and that is the key to success in this industry, as well as being kind, down to earth and having infectious, loving energy – in my opinion anyway.

What empowers you most about being a curve model?

The community. It makes me emotional because I have never felt more unapologetically me, and so much support for that. Being representation for so many people, a responsibility I never take lightly and being able to do what I love and have dreamed of for so long – like walking in Aus Fashion Week 21!

What do you admire most about NM?

The women behind the brand! They are incredible. They’re creative, strong, funny, kind and so clever. I admire them so much and what they have created. Nice Martin have the most beautiful pieces and I am so grateful I had the opportunity to work with them.
